Wilfred Owen died exactly a week before the end of the First World War. His renowned poems documented the horrors of war, and he never actually lived to see the end of that bloody conflict, or the arrival of peace in Europe. But what if instead of a war poet, we remembered Wilfred Owen as a poet writing for peace?

We are delighted to welcome poets Menna Elfyn, Pascale Petit and Ian Duhig, who will be reading their poems from the Peace Poetry pamphlet and discussing writing for peace over the last century.

This event will be chaired by Dr Gregory Leadbetter, poet and Director of the MA in Creative Writing at Birmingham City University.
