A Military Two Step At The REP!
To celebrate the opening of Spike Milligan’s Adolf Hitler: My Part In His Downfall at The REP, the cast will be playing hits from the show atop a World War II armoured vehicle outside The REP this Monday 8 March between 1pm and 2pm.
The actors will appear in Centenary Square in their full military costumes for a performance on top of the military vehicle, giving members of the public a flavour of the show, which is based on the wartime memoirs of one of the coutry’s best loved and most influential comedians.
Using Milligan’s own words, the show fuses comedy, jazz song and dance to tell the story of how young Gunner Milligan and his hapless and disparate bunch of colleagues prevailed against the might of the Nazi War Machine.
If you’re working in Birmingham on Monday then come and spend your lunch break with us on Centenary Square, and enjoy these musical extracts from the Winner of the Best Regional Production at the 2010 Whatsonstage Awards!
