Evacuees Arrive On Board The Narnia Express

Our spectacular Christmas show The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe opened to a packed house last night – and we went to greet the World War II evacuees as they arrived in Birmingham onboard the Narnia Express.

Actors Ben Stott, Bethan Walker, Joseph Pitcher and Amy Brown play World War II evacuees Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy – and are watched over by actor Owen Young who plays Chief of the Wolf Police, Maugrim.

With over 43,000 children and families already booked to see The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe the show is on its way to being a roaring success.

“C.S.Lewis’ book is one of the greatest children’s classics of all time. it has an enduring popularity and is loved by generation after generation,” says director Ian Brown, “and with no other version of the stage play in production across the country, theatre-goers and families across the West Midlands are in for a real treat.”
