Rehearsals begin for A Christmas Carol
Rehearsals for our brand new adaptation of A Christmas Carol begin today and we are delighted to announce the full casting.
A cast of thirteen will bring Dickens’ wonderful characters to life. Playing Scrooge will be Peter Polycarpou (pictured above). Aside from starring in the classic comedy series Birds of a Feather, Peter has had a vast career on stage including productions of Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Phantom of the Opera and more recently at The REP Follow My Leader, Gizmo Love and Last Easter.
Joining Peter will be Hadley Fraser as Bob Crachit. Hadley’s credits include the lead in Far Pavilions (Shaftesbury Avenue), Assasins (Sheffield Crucible) and Les Miserables (West End). Melanie La Barrie, recently seen at The REP and Hackney Empire in the musical Once On This Island, will play Mrs Fezziwig, and opposite her as Fezziwig will be Sevan Stephan whose credits include Lord of The Rings (Theatre Royal Drury Lane), Guys And Dolls (Donmar Warehouse) and Follow My Leader (Birmingham Repertory Theatre).
Completing the cast will be Rosalie Craig as Mrs Crachit, Russell Dixon as Jacob Marley, Dale Meeks as the Ghost of Christmas present, Colin Ryan as the Ghost of Christmas Past, Vlach Ashton as Ghost of Christmas yet to come, Carl Au as Nephew Fred, Sophie Bould as Belle, and Paul-Ryan Carberry and Vicky Lee Taylor as Grey Ghosts. Other characters will be played by the ensemble and company of young actors.
