Helping people Eat!

Helping people Eat!

As you’ll hear in our play, Eat!, hunger can affect anyone. Food Banks across the world collect and store food ready to distribute to individuals or families in crisis who cannot afford to feed themselves. Throughout the run of Eat! we’re asking audience members to bring along items of food which we will then donate to the West Bromwich Food Bank for them to distribute.

The following items would be particularly welcomed: tinned meat, tinned fish, tinned tomatoes, baked beans, tinned fruit, tinned vegetables, fruit juice (UHT only), milk (UHT or powder), pasta and sauces, rice, sugar, tea bags, instant coffee, cereals, rice pudding, sponge pudding, jam, biscuits, healthy snacks (apricots, raisins etc). Non-food items would also be welcome: roll-on deodorant, shampoo and conditioner, shower gel, toothpaste, shaving foam, loo roll, can openers, sanitary towels, nappies (all sizes) and baby wipes.

On your next trip to the supermarket please do pop a few extra items into your basket and bring them along to a performance of Eat!
