A Splash Of Colour

A Splash Of Colour

The REP Art Class have been inspired by the work of Jackson Pollock to create their own large scale art work using Pollock’s dripping paint technique in the REP’s rehearsal room.

As we’ve just announced our new season which includes Catherine Wheels Theatre Company’s production of White, a play about bringing a splash of colour into a completely white world, we thought we’d share some photos of their work, which you can view in the gallery on the left.

The REP art class meet on Thursday mornings at St George’s Court – The REP’s temporary administrative base in the Jewellery Quarter – for drawing and painting classes. The group work with local art tutor Jenny Ricks to develop their skills and create work themed to our shows, which have been exhibited in The REP gallery spaces on several occasions.
