Seven Minute Stories, the popular short story event, is back. The last three events have sold out fast, so be sure to book your tickets early!

In Summer 2015, as part of the West Midlands Readers’ Network commissioning strand, five regional writers were set the challenge of writing a short story in a matter of a few short months.

Mez Packer, Rob Jefferson-Brown, Dragan Todorovic, Justina Hart and Ruth Gilligan were each paired with a reading group who gave them a list of narrative ingredients to weave into a story. After some gentle haggling we sent them away for a summer of writing.

At this special event, all five writers discuss the process of writing a commissioned work with Roz Goddard, co-ordinator of West Midlands Readers Network, and read an extract from their story. To mark the end of the project a limited edition anthology featuring the stories in full will be yours to take away at the end of the evening.
