Known for her frank views, Germaine Greer has been a force to reckon with since her book The Female Eunuch became a bestseller in 1970. An Australian academic, journalist and major voice in feminism, Greer’s other books include Sex and Destiny: The Politics of Human Fertility (1984); The Change: Women, Ageing and the Menopause (1991); Shakespeare’s Wife (2007); and The Whole Woman (1999).
For the Birmingham Literature Festival she approaches a topic she feels increasingly strongly about: the disappearance of women.
Expect this unique close encounter to be candid, enlightening, and highly entertaining. Burning questions welcome.
